How the app is made

I build Romy’s Garage myself, as a native Swift app for iPhone and iPad. There’s no support team: whatever comes in through the support page I read and answer personally, usually within a few days.

One simple rule applies to data: whatever doesn’t need a server stays on your device. Restoration projects and photos never leave your iPhone. Car sharing needs a server so all members see the same thing. It is located in the EU and only holds the shared car’s data.

How the app is funded

Restoration is free for one project. If you need more projects, photos or the PDF build report, there’s the Pro subscription. Car sharing has ongoing server costs, so it’s a subscription that only one person per car pays. There are no ads and no data sales.

About this website

The car cost calculator exists because “who pays how much for fuel?” deserves a fair answer even without an app. It uses the same rules as the app.
